January 10, 2023 – Adult-use Cannabis Sales Begin

• Adult-use cannabis sales were allowed for adults above 21 at seven existing medical marijuana dispensaries.

July 1, 2023 – Marijuana Cultivation For Adults

• Home cultivation becomes legal for all adults aged 21 and older. They can cultivate 3 mature and 3 immature plants at home, including a household cap of 12 plants.

For adult-use / recreational (ages 21+):

• Up to 1.5 ounces of cannabis on one’s person is allowed.
• Up to 5 ounces may be kept in a locked container at one’s residence (or in a locked glove box or trunk while transporting).

For medical cannabis patients:

• Their allowed “one-month supply” is up to 5 ounces of cannabis flower.
• They may also partake in home cultivation under the same 3 mature + 3 immature / 12 plant household rules (for patients aged 18 and above).
