Alaska Possession Limits

Alaska marijuana laws state the same possession limit for both medical patients and recreational use.

  • Adults 21+ and medical patients may possess up to 1 ounce (28 grams) outside their residence.
  • Retail stores may sell up to 1 ounce of flower, 7 grams of concentrate, or 5,600mg THC per transaction.
  • Public consumption apart from legal consumption lounges is prohibited; violators face fines up to $100.
  • Medical patients and adults 21+ may cultivate up to 6 plants (3 mature) at home.
  • Households with multiple adults 21+ may grow up to 12 plants (6 mature).
  • Alaska medical marijuana cards are valid for one year.
