Nevada Possession Limits

Nevada law establishes separate marijuana possession allowances for medical patients versus adult-use consumers.

  • Medical patients may possess up to 2.5 ounces of usable marijuana per 14-day period
  • Medical patients may cultivate up to 12 mature plants at home only if they meet at least one of these criteria: no dispensary within 25 miles, too ill or lack the transportation to travel, the specific strain of cannabis needed for their treatment not available.
  • Adult-use consumers (21+) may possess up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis flower and 0.25 ounces of concentrate.
  • Adult-use consumers may cultivate up to 6 plants per person, maximum 12 plants per household, only if residing more than 25 miles from licensed dispensary.
  • All cultivation must occur in locked rooms not visible to public.
