Michigan Possession Limits
Adults (21+) – Recreational Use
- Up to 2.5 ounces (≈70 grams) of usable marijuana in public.
- No more than 15 grams of marijuana concentrate included in the 2.5-ounce limit.
- Up to 10 ounces of marijuana may be kept at home. Amounts over 2.5 ounces must be stored in a locked container.
- Up to 12 marijuana plants may be cultivated per household, in a locked, enclosed space, for personal use.
Registered Medical Patients
- May possess up to 2.5 ounces of usable marijuana.
- May cultivate up to 12 plants for personal medical use.
- Patients can also designate a caregiver to grow on their behalf (caregivers may cultivate for up to 5 patients, with a 60-plant maximum).
